Hand finished Sterling Silver Punga fern leaf pendant – ‘Silver Fern’

Iconic native New Zealand flora. Commonly known as the Silver Fern or Punga, this is a NZ native tree fern. It features bright green fronds up to 4 m long which have a graceful arch and are held atop a fibrous trunk. 

I found this dehydrated piece in my garden in Coromandel Town . It was just perfect. A mould was taken (a difficult process). From there I stylised it into a pendant.

It doesn’t sit flat but rather with a soft curve that the Punga leaf has. Semi polished finish which will darken in patina customary in Sterling Silver (which enhances the detailing)

Measurements 5.5cm length x2.5cm width at widest point

Standard 45cm chain included
